Inflation And Blocking Planning

Generally, a pillow shaped pipe pipe plug can be inserted through an opening 1/3 the diameter of the pipe.

We are looking into installing this SKU 123570 in a 44" interior diameter smooth wall HDPE pipe for a period of time between 6 months to a year to separate salt water from fresh water runoff. We plan to install 2EA in the same pipeline to have a redundant plug. We'll also be purchasing new hoses, valve, and guage for each plug.
Do you know if there is an anticipated leakage rate to determine how often we should check pressure on these plugs? Do you know if there are any other long term maintenance requirements?

The manufacturer does not recommend that the plugs be utilized for more than 4 hours at a time. Therefore, they do not provide any information in regards to long term maintenance and/or how often you should check air for long term plugging. That being said, we have had customers who have used the plugs on long term jobs, with success. We cannot guarantee the success and if the plug were to fail, it would not be covered under the manufacturers warranty if being used for long term plugs.
