Do you have dimensions for the bag empty and the bag full? What is the PSI limit? How many gallons of air does this model hold?
Question by: Ben Ray on Sep 25, 2018 10:47:00 PM
Thank you for your question. The dimensions of the Subsalve EFB-500-SW 550lb are 32in/82cm in height, 51in/31cm in length and weighs approximately 20lbs. When the bag is inflated to its max, Dimensions provided by the manufacturer are said to be 47in/119cm in length 17in/43cm in height and 27in/68cm in width, however these dimensions can change due to the weight that is applied at the lift point. Relief valves are installed in each bag to allow expanding to vent, should a free ascent occur. The relief valves are set to release at 2.5 psi above ambient pressure. When Bag is fully inflated it contains approximately 65 gallons of air.

There is not an inflation tube attached to these bags. All of the Enclosed Flotation Bags come equipped with a female stainless steel 1/4 quick disconnect coupler for inflation purposes. You would supply the desired length of hose you needed to run from your compressor to the bag itself.

Could this be left deflated and submerged under a cantilever pontoon boat left under the bottom rail all summer (fresh water lake with sand bottom)? Then inflate in the fall when I need to lift it off the bottom as first step to get entire lift our of the water and onto shore?
Question by: Ken Bickel on Nov 8, 2017 7:47:00 PM
Yes, this is definitely a possibility. My only concern would be if the bag were to encounter constant friction while submerged, it may jeopardize the integrity of the bag when you do eventually inflate it. I would take precautions to avoid this from happening as much as possible.
