The Nautilus Welding Stinger is a rugged underwater welding electrode holder designed for commercial divers and professional subsea welding operations. Its fully insulated, non-conductive body provides a secure grip while wearing gloves, and the electrode guide slot simplifies electrode installation in poor visibility. The adjustable, field-serviceable design accepts 2.5 mm (3/32") to 5.0 mm (3/16") electrodes and can be completely dismantled without special tools. Available with or without a whip lead.

Details
The Nautilus Welding Stinger, officially known as the Nautilus Welding Torch, is a professional underwater welding electrode holder engineered for commercial diving, marine construction, ship repair, salvage, offshore maintenance, and other subsea welding applications.
Unlike disposable or sealed underwater welding stingers, the Nautilus is designed to be completely dismantled, serviced, and rebuilt in the field without specialized tools. Its replaceable components allow divers and maintenance teams to repair normal wear on-site instead of replacing the entire electrode holder.
The patented wear-adjustment system helps maintain a secure electrode connection as the internal contact surfaces wear. The cable connector can be rotated in full 360-degree increments, with each complete turn providing approximately 1 mm of adjustment. More than 10 mm of total wear compensation is available before the affected components need to be replaced. The copper wear plug and cable connector are individually replaceable, and all major parts are available separately.
Manufactured from tough, hardwearing, electrically insulating material, the Nautilus underwater welding stinger is built to provide maximum protection for the diver. Its shape and size provide a firm, controlled grip, even when the operator is wearing diving gloves. An integrated electrode guide slot also helps the diver position and secure an electrode in dark, murky, or low-visibility underwater environments.
The Nautilus Welding Stinger accepts welding electrodes ranging from 2.5 mm (3/32") to 5.0 mm (3/16"). A simple tightening and release mechanism allows electrodes to be changed efficiently during underwater welding operations. The holder can also be used for surface welding and is rated for 250 amps at a 60% duty cycle when operated above water.
