Choose magnetic drills by maximum hole diameter, cutter depth, available clearance, motor speed, magnetic holding force, power source, and the material and thickness of the workpiece.
The magnet needs clean, flat, ferrous material of sufficient thickness. Paint, scale, rust, curvature, thin material, and gaps can reduce holding force, so secure the drill with the required safety chain or strap.
Selected magnetic drills are available for rent from RTO. Confirm cutter size, cutting depth, voltage or power source, accessories, and project dates before ordering.
