The Greenlee Fairmont HRD44A Heavy Duty Rock Drill is a rugged hydraulic rotary hammer engineered for professional drilling applications in rock, concrete, and other difficult materials. Designed for use on open-center hydraulic systems, the HRD44A provides powerful and reliable drilling performance for demanding utility and construction work.
This 44 lb rock drill delivers up to 1,400 blows per minute and variable rotation speeds from 0–400 RPM, allowing operators to adjust drilling performance to match the material and job requirements. The tool can also operate without rotation, providing additional versatility when performing certain applications.
For efficient drilling, the HRD44A includes a built-in flushing valve that automatically forces air through the bit to clear debris from the hole during drilling, helping maintain productivity and improve drilling efficiency. The drill is capable of drilling holes up to 2-1/2 inches in diameter and up to 10 feet deep, making it suitable for heavy-duty rock and concrete drilling tasks.
Operator comfort and durability are key elements of the design. The drill features vibration-isolated, cushioned handles to reduce operator fatigue, while its simple construction allows for excellent durability and easier repair in the field. The tool is supplied with 12-inch steel-braided whip hoses and operates within a 5-7 GPM hydraulic flow range with operating pressures between 1,275 and 1,700 PSI.
With its combination of powerful drilling capability, durable construction, and operator-focused design, the Greenlee Fairmont HRD44A provides dependable performance for heavy-duty drilling applications in utility, construction, and infrastructure work.
