The Greenlee 43177 88" Long-Reach Chain Saw is a professional hydraulic chainsaw engineered for utility line maintenance, arborist work, and general tree-trimming applications. Designed to cut branches that are difficult to reach, the tool allows operators to work from an aerial basket or directly from the ground, improving productivity in line-clearance and tree-maintenance operations.

The saw is equipped with an 88.5-inch insulated fiberglass extension tube tested to meet OSHA Regulation 1910.269, helping provide added reach and electrical insulation when working near energized utility lines. A rugged high-torque gear motor powers the cutting system, while the 0.325-inch pitch chain with 0.058-inch bar gauge provides a cutting capacity of up to 13 inches, enabling efficient trimming of large branches.

For versatility, the 43177 features Greenlee’s Super Spool selector control, allowing the tool to operate on both open-center and closed-center hydraulic systems. The chainsaw operates with 5–8 GPM hydraulic flow and 1,000-2,000 PSI operating pressure, making it compatible with many hydraulic power units commonly used by utility crews.

Operator safety and ease of use are key elements of the design. The saw includes a two-step trigger, trigger guard, and fully covered sprocket guard, along with an anti-kickback chain and automatic chain oiler to help improve cutting performance and control during operation.
