Description

Details

The Greenlee Fairmont HID6506 SDS-Plus 3/4" Hydraulic Hammer Drill is a professional hydraulic rotary impact drill engineered for heavy-duty drilling in concrete, brick, rock, and other hard materials. Designed to work with impact-type bits, the tool combines rotary motion with hammering action to efficiently drill holes in tough materials while maintaining reliable performance in demanding environments.

The HID6506 features adjustable flow control that prevents overspeeding and allows operators to precisely control drilling speed. The tool supports speeds of up to 5,400 blows per minute, delivering increased impact performance to help complete drilling tasks faster. Its improved design provides better balance and ergonomics, enhancing operator comfort and control during extended use.

Built with a rugged gear motor, the drill includes a built-in slip clutch to protect the tool and operator from over-torque conditions if the bit binds. A selector switch allows the tool to operate in drill or hammer/drill modes, enabling drilling in different materials. When used with an auxiliary chuck, the drill can also be used to drill in wood or steel, increasing its versatility for multiple applications.

The HID6506 uses SDS-Plus bit shanks and provides drilling capacities of 3/4 in. in concrete, 1-1/16 in. in wood, and 1/2 in. in steel, with the ability to use core bits up to 3 in. The tool operates within a 5-10 GPM hydraulic flow range and 1,000-2,000 PSI operating pressure, making it compatible with many hydraulic power systems used in construction and utility work.

Additional features such as Super Spool selector control for open-center and closed-center hydraulic systems, a reversible directional spool, and removable auxiliary handle and depth gauge provide flexibility and control in tight work areas. With its compact design, durable construction, and powerful hydraulic impact performance, the Greenlee HID6506 delivers dependable drilling capability for professional construction and utility applications.
