When selecting this plug, confirm that the pipe diameter matches the single 6-inch size range and check pipe conditions like surface irregularities or debris that may affect sealing. The plug's inflation pressure and rated backpressure should be reviewed according to the product documentation, as the plug is test-designed for pressures up to three times its working inflation pressure.
Inflation And Blocking Planning
Prior to use, inspect the plug’s rubber surface for cuts, abrasions, or damage that could impair inflation or sealing performance. The plug inflates via a standard tire valve; inflation pressure must be steadily maintained and monitored during use to maintain the seal. If working in environments with rough or abrasive pipe interiors, consider protecting the plug with a sleeve to reduce rubber wear during placement and retrieval.
