Sava 526631 15"-30" Multi-Size Chemical Resistant Inflatable Pipe Plug w/ 2 in. Bypass Product Guide

Pipe Plug Selection Notes

When selecting this multi-size inflatable pipe plug, confirm that the nominal pipe diameter falls within the 15 to 30 inch range. The chemical-resistant NR-SBR rubber reinforced with Kevlar tire cording allows its use in industrial settings where exposure to a variety of chemicals is possible. Confirm backpressure against the size-specific chart or manual for the selected pipe diameter, and keep that check separate from the specified inflation pressure. The 2-inch bypass supports flow-through testing or partial flow applications while the plug is in place.

Inflation And Setup Planning

Inspect the plug before use for any cuts, abrasions, or rubber damage, especially around the sealing surfaces and bypass fitting. Protective sleeves may be advisable if the pipe interior shows rough or irregular surfaces to help prevent scratching or premature wear during insertion and retrieval. Use the standard tire valves on the plug to inflate it to the specified working pressure and maintain inflation pressure throughout the job duration, as these plugs should not be left inflated without monitoring. Blocking or bracing should be planned as outlined by the user manual to manage pressure loads and stabilize the plug in the pipeline.
