Inflation And Blocking Planning
Inspect the plug rubber surface before deployment for any cuts, abrasions, or damage that could cause failure during inflation. Use a protective sleeve if the pipe surface is abrasive or irregular to reduce wear during inflation and retrieval. Inflate the plug to the specified working pressure via the standard tire valve fitting and maintain that pressure by periodic monitoring during use, as these plugs should not be left inflated unattended for extended periods. Plan for mechanical blocking or restraint as outlined in the user manual to counteract pipeline backpressure and movement during use.

SAVA Pillow-Style Inflatable Pipe Plugs.
Versatile and durable pillow plugs are ideal for large pipes where access is limited. When deflated, they can be folded up and inserted through a standard manhole, then inflated. Standard sizes range from 2' to 9' in diameter, with or without bypass for testing and flow through. Generally, a pillow shaped pipe pipe plug can be inserted through an opening 1/3 the diameter of the pipe.
