Joint Zone K0644 Super Raptor Dual Hydraulic Power Unit 23hp Vanguard (2 @ 6 GPM or 1 @ 12 GPM) w/ Two 50' Hose Product Guide

How This Power Unit Fits Into A Hydraulic Tool Package

The Joint Zone Super Raptor Dual Hydraulic Power Unit supplies hydraulic flow through two independent circuits, each rated at approximately 6 GPM, or a combined single circuit delivering up to 12 GPM. This dual-circuit capability allows operation of two hydraulic tools simultaneously at moderate flow, or one tool requiring higher flow. Its maximum working pressure of 2,000 PSI accommodates a wide range of demanding industrial, construction, and utility hydraulic tools that require substantial flow and pressure.

This power unit is gasoline-powered by a 23 HP Vanguard twin-cylinder engine with electric start. This configuration makes it suitable for outdoor and ventilated locations where engine exhaust can be dispersed away from the immediate work face. Compared to smaller single-circuit hydraulic power packs, this unit provides greater configuration options when multiple tools operate concurrently or when tools require higher flow rates.

It uses impact-protected swivel-mounted quick couplers compatible with standard hydraulic hoses, supporting connected hydraulic tools designed for up to 2,000 PSI. The integrated oil cooling system with a centrifugal fan supports system temperature during heavy or use. The stainless steel frame with folding handles and a central lifting hook supports transport and positioning on site, while anti-vibration mounts protect components during operation.

Power Unit Planning Notes

This hydraulic power unit commonly ships by freight on a pallet and typically requires unloading equipment such as a forklift or loading dock. Allow sufficient lead time for delivery and plan return logistics accordingly. Keep all included accessories, hoses (two 50-foot hoses in this case), and instruction materials intact to avoid additional charges on return.

Since it is gasoline-powered, plan for adequate ventilation of engine exhaust and position the unit so the muffler and fumes are positioned away from the immediate work face and sensitive materials such as fiberglass or coatings. When deployed on a boat deck, secure the wheeled unit firmly to prevent rolling or shifting due to vessel movement.

For long hydraulic hose runs exceeding standard lengths, additional planning may be required. Larger diameter hoses or increased hydraulic power units might be needed to compensate for pressure drops caused by friction loss. Confirm hose routing to avoid kinks, abrasion, or interference with operator movement.

Near-water or environmentally sensitive jobs may have hydraulic-fluid specifications. Although there is no explicit information on biodegradable or environmentally acceptable oil compatibility, consider any such requirements during project planning and notify suppliers in advance if specific fluids are needed. RTO does not guarantee hydraulic oil type unless specified ahead of rental or purchase.
