Joint Zone K0064 Raptor Hydraulic Power Unit 18hp Vanguard (5-10 gpm) w/ 50' Hose Set Product Guide

How This Power Unit Fits Into A Hydraulic Tool Package

The Joint Zone K0064 Raptor supplies hydraulic power through a gasoline-driven 18hp Vanguard engine, delivering a flow range of 5 to 10 gallons per minute. This flow capacity suits hydraulic tools that require moderate to high flow rates, such as pipe maintenance equipment or civil protection hydraulic tools. A key feature is its integrated 50-foot hose set with quick couplers on impact-resistant swivel fittings, supporting connection to compatible tools and flexible positioning on the jobsite.

This unit is often selected when a portable, gasoline-powered hydraulic supply is needed for outdoor or limited-access work locations where electric power sources are unavailable or impractical. Its stainless steel frame with foldable handles and anti-vibration shock absorbers supports transport and can reduce vibration transfer to the power unit. Compared to electric hydraulic power units, the Raptor's gasoline engine enables deployment away from electrical outlets but requires attention to ventilation and exhaust management.

Power Unit Planning Notes

The unit includes a stainless steel frame and centralized lifting hook which support with positioning and transport but note that it ships by freight on a pallet; a loading dock, forklift, or liftgate may be necessary for delivery and unloading. Allow enough lead time for freight shipment due to the unit’s size and weight.

When using the included 50-foot hose set, plan routing carefully to avoid kinks, abrasion, or restricted return flow. Very long hose runs or multiple hose sets may require larger hose diameters or a more powerful hydraulic supply to compensate for friction loss. Confirm coupler compatibility between the unit and the connected tools when connecting to quick couplers on the supplied hoses.

Because this is a gasoline-powered unit, position the hydraulic power unit and engine exhaust source away from the immediate work face to direct fumes and heat away from workers and sensitive materials. If used on a boat deck or similar surface, secure the wheeled frame to prevent rolling or shifting.

For work near water or in municipal environments, consider hydraulic-fluid requirements at the location. RTO does not guarantee the hydraulic oil type in the unit unless arranged in advance.
