The Sava 60022 Z1.5 fits nominal pipe diameters of 1-5/8 inches and is designed for commercial blocking applications that require a compact, shorter plug. Selection should consider pipe condition and internal surface irregularities that could affect seating and seal integrity. This plug is molded from reinforced NR-SBR rubber with Kevlar tire cording for strength, and it is inflation-tested to three times its specified working pressure to provide a high margin of service pressure. Confirm backpressure against the size-specific chart or manual for the selected pipe diameter, and keep that check separate from the specified inflation pressure.
Inflation And Setup Planning
Plan to inspect the plug carefully for any visible cuts, abrasions, or damage before inflation, as hidden rubber damage may lead to failure. Inflation is via a standard tire valve, and pressure should be monitored and maintained at the correct inflation level during use; avoid leaving the plug inflated and unattended for extended periods. Use protective sleeves if abrasive or rough pipe surfaces could damage the rubber during insertion or removal.
